Cryo PainBlockerâ„¢
PainBlockerâ„¢
The PainBlocker™ provides pain relief in interventional pain settings by cryoneuroablation. The Joule-Thomson effect used in the PainBlocker™ is able to achieve temperatures in the range of -70°C. This, in combination with the ability to rapidly defrost the frozen nerves, allows for the desired second cryo-lesioning without injuring the endoneurium, perineurium and epineurium. For this reason, cryo procedures do not have the concern like heat lesioning of neuritis.

Minimally Invasive
Cryoanalgesia requires little anesthesia, can easily be done through the skin, and requires no stitches, making it a very quick procedure.
A Simple Procedure
Cryoanalgesia is most commonly performed on an outpatient basis. The procedure is performed through the skin, meaning there is very little post-operative bruising or trauma.
Pain Relief
Patients experience pain relief immediately after the procedure. There is little postoperative discomfort and no post-operative recovery time.
3-Step Procedure
How Cryo Works
The PainBlockerâ„¢ achieves sub-zero temperatures via the Joule-Thomson effect.
Pressurized gas travels through the insulated probe and is forced through a microscopic annulus and into a lower pressure chamber. This pressurized gas expands at the tip, causing the temperature to drop to as low as -70 °C. This creates an external ice ball.
